Health Informatics & leadership at Royal Marsden

6 moth post (extendable to 12 months)

=======================================

Health informatics is a subject of growing importance in a modern NHS, and this is an opportunity to learn about a variety of aspects including electronic patient records and vendor neutral archives, and to be involved in developing and delivering an IT strategy.

The trainee would be expected to have two days per week dedicated to health informatics, information technology and leadership projects, one day per week of clinical commitment in theatres, and an additional on-call commitment based in Chelsea. This equates to approximately 60% clinical commitment, and 40% academic commitment, and would add up to an average 48-hour week.

The post-holder will be encouraged to pursue a postgraduate certificate in Health Informatics (University College London) should they so wish. Financial support will be available.
