Paediatrics at Birmingham Children's Hospital

3 positions available - 2 start in May, 1 starts in November

Hospital provides clinical experience in cardiac, hepatobiliary, liver and small bowel transplant, general surgery, burns and reconstructive surgery, plastic surgery including cleft lip and palate, orthopaedics, ENT, Urology, ophthalmology including retinoblastoma treatment, craniofacial surgery, neurosurgery, maxillofacial, oral and dental surgery.

Anaesthesia services also provided for radiology, endoscopies, laser treatments, joint injections, oncology treatments and line insertions.

There is an active acute pain service.

Fellows will always work under the supervision of a consultant and will have a minimum of 3 directly supervised sessions per week. They will be encouraged to partake in research and audit and will be provided with time to do this.

Fellow will spend 2-3 months in PICU.

There are weekly tutorials and departmental meetings.
