Pain at Northwestern

5 positions available (4 for applicants with an anaesthesia background)


Based between Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. 
The fellowship integrates several areas of pain medicine including chronic pain rehabilitation, interventional pain management, cancer pain and palliative care, acute pain, paediatric pain, neurology, psychiatry and clinical research.
The Pain Medicine Center is equiped with fluoroscopy and ultrasound equipment, examination rooms and recovery rooms and a multimedia teaching conference room.

Fellows will supervise residents and medical students on pain rotation.
Fellows will not participate in Operating room on call but will cover Pain on calls from home.

Lectures occur four days a week, which fellows will be expected to deliver at times.
Fellows are also expected to become involved in research.
