Pain at Ottowa

learn to manage routine and complex post-op pain, including trauma, orthopaedic, spine, vascular, thoracic, gynaecology and general.
Techniques used include PCA, thoracic and lumbar epidural and continuous regional anaesthesia. 
Leading centre for ERAS. 

Fellow will be expected to complete a quality improvement project and participate or lead the bi-monthly pain reaching sessions. 

60% of time will be in the acute pain service, the remainder in the general operating rooms providing anaesthetic services.

Based at the Ottowa Hospital in both inpatients and outpatients. Fellows will become experts at diagnosing, managing and treating chronic and cancer pain. Fellows will learn a wide range of interventional techniques. 

3 days per week in pain clinics, 2 days per week in operating rooms delivering anaesthetic services.
