Fellowship established in 2011.
Allocated to airway lists 2-3 days a week, including dental, maxillofacial, ENT, head and neck, bronchoscopy
Learn use of a variety of airway equipment including fibreoptic bronchoscope.
Involvement in tutorials and workshops for registrars and nurses, airway simulation training and the 'Can't Intubate Can't Oxygenate' animal wet lab.
Working pattern is a 40 hour week over 5 days. One admin day every fortnight.
Evening overtime once or twice a fortnight. One weekend long day per month. 7 nights followed by 5 days off, four times per year.
