Tertiary referral centre for adult cardiac and thoracic surgery, and a supra- regional centre for heart and lung transplantation.
The state-of-the-art 26 bed Cardiothoracic Critical Care Unit opened in May 2008.
Gain experience in respiratory ECMO (including mobile retrievals), extra- corporeal support for heart and lung transplantation and acute heart failure management.
Opportunities to be involved in teaching, audit and management in the theatre and critical care setting.
ICM trainees are encouraged to apply. The post is part of a full shift rota.
