Travel with team providing free reconstructive facial surgery for Noma survivors.
Patients have difficult airways with trismus and restricted tissue mobility. Equipment available for airway control includes fibreoptic brochoscopes, videolaryngoscopes, optical stylet and front of neck equipment. Full supervision and training is given and skills are transferrable to UK difficult airway practice.
There is also ample scope for research.
