This fellowship provides an opportunity to become highly competent in delivering obstetric peri-operative anaesthetic care in complex obstetric cases. Workload would consist of a busy labour ward and all day elective section list Monday to Friday (6000 deliveries/year).
There is also a high risk obstetric Anaesthetic Clinic.
In addition, there are opportunities to participate in formal teaching programmes such as the Obstetric Anaesthesia and Analgesia Teaching Programme, simulation workshops and quality improvement projects. There are obstetric consultant lead teaching sessions and regular Mortality and Morbidity Meetings.
