Post is 50% clinical, 50% research.
Expected to design and complete a clinical research project to present at a meeting and submit for publication.
Active participation in teaching of midical students and residents.
Expected to present at multidisciplinary grand round
Clinical responsibilities involve management of routine and high risk labours and deliveries and both emergency and elective caesarean sections as well as consulting in the high risk obstetric anaesthesia clinic.
On-call commitments 1:4 weekends, 1:10 nights.
7200 deliveries per year, one third classed high risk. 30% caesarean rate (one third elective)
