Based at Toronto Western Hospital.
Fellows will be exposed to a wide range of surgical specialties including spine, neurosurgery, orthopaedics, urology, plastics and general surgery. Will gain experience in cardiac and pulmonary risk assessment and reduction and difficult airway management.
Fellows will participate in the general on call rota (4-5 shifts per month)
Research opportunities available (in outpatient anaesthesia, pharmacology, physiology,airway, blood coagulation and sleep apnoea)
Regular education sessions on perioperative medicine and research methodology.
Fellows will be expected to contribute to teaching sessions and attend or present at national meeting.
