Burns at Fiona Stanley, Fremantle

The centre for major burns care in Western Australia is based at Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH), fellows will become proficient with the management of acutely unwell patients with challenges in terms of airway management and multiple organ dysfunction.

In addition to the management of burns patients, fellows will also be allocated to plastics trauma and reconstructive lists.

Selection criteria are:

1. Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia

2. Completion of final fellowship exam (FANZCA or overseas equivalent from comparable training programme)

3. Demonstrated high level skills in all aspects of the CanMEDS physician competency framework

4. Prior teaching, research and audit experience are desirable
