Tertiary burns intensive care and major referral centre for plastic surgery.
Regular theatre lists in plastics trauma, reconstructive surgery, general plastic lists, combined maxfax/plastics lists and cleft palate reconstruction. Good exposure to anaesthetising children over 3 months of age, major head and neck anaesthesia, management of difficult airways and regional anaesthesia.
On call rota is 1:8 on the 6 bedded burns ICU. If ICU workload allows, fellow will be able to attend the routine burns theatre list.
Dedicated time allowed for research and audit, many projects are ongoing but there is encouragement to start new projects as well.
Fellow will be expeted to present at the weekly burns teaching sessions.
