Fellowship comprises two 6-month rotations.
6 months as Fellow on regional anaesthesia/acute pain service. Mix of single injection peripheral nerve blocks and continuous catheter insertions, as well as thoracic epidurals. Rotation to the Eye Hospital will give opportunity to learn retrobulbar blocks. Fellows also expected to give grand round lectures, participate in research, maintain the quality improvement database and attend national conferences. No on call responsibilities.
Second 6 months is as an attending anaesthesiologist. Mix of orthopaedic and non-orthopaedic surgery. WIll perform cases alone and will supervise residents and CRNAs. Work 1 night a week.
