Busy block room attached to main operating rooms, staffed by dedicated anesthesiologist.
High-volume outpatient operating area where extremity surgery is performed solely under regional anaesthesia.
Will experince a mix of upper and lower extremity blocks, continuous perineural catheter insertions, home perineural catheter analgesia, truncal blocks and neuraxial techniques.
Fellows will also participate in acute pain service rounds 1:6. Acute pain on-calls managed from home.
Fellows provide anaesthetic care in the main operatign rooms one day per week.
One day per week protected for academic work. Fellows are expected to complete one research project during the year
Fellows will participate in departmental rounds and journal club. They will be involved in teaching of residents and may participate in the Whistler Anesthesiology Summit.
