Salary: paid for 2 clinical days

Will spend 2 days per week persuing clinical activity related to regional anaesthesia and acute pain management. Rotate through the University/Huntsman Hospitals and the Orthopaedic Hospital. Will learn placement of peripheral nerve blocks and catheters under ultrasound guidance as well as neuraxial blocks, especially thoracic epidurals. Will also learn to set up and manage an acute pain service
One day per week will be spent on research/academic persuits. Two days a week will be spent working as faculty in the operating rooms.
Fellows will participate in the education of anaesthesia residents and are expected to participate in a research project during the year with the aim of publication in a anaesthesia journal.
