1400 inpatients beds, 32 operating theatres, 100-bed critical care unit. Host to the Royal Centre for Defence Medicine.
The majority of time would be spent in theatres but fellows will have a dedicated posting in trauma intensive care and short attachments in trauma allied specialties such as the resuscitation department and radiology. Fellows will initially be supervised by consultants and progress to independant sessions.
On-call is a 1:8 rota in theatres and ITU and the fellow will be supervising junior registrars and SHOs.
Encouragement to participate in ongoing research and to become involved in teaching junior anaesthetists and present at departmental meetings.
